UNQSWC Rebrands as "Las Falangistas Jóvenes del Mercado Libre"

8 February 2023

Today, Chairman Owen Itzen of the Ugandan-Ngombe QAnon Social Workers Coalition (UNQSWC) announced that he would be changing the name of his party. The UNQSWC used to be the second most powerful political party in Phillip before Co-Chairman Cooper Norfolk merged with two members of the Butter Butta Bentley Party to create the Phillip National Front. Because of the split, the party lost 40% of their membership and their two seats in the National Assembly. The party currently does not hold any elected offices, but they do hold multiple appointed positions. The most notable of which is the newly established Minister of Corporations, held by party Chairman Itzen.

Seeking to reinvent his party, Chairman Itzen decided to change it's official name to "Las Falangistas Jóvenes del Mercado Libre", which is Spanish for "The Young Falangists of the Free Market". Itzen said that he wanted to "reaffirm the party as one with a forward-facing view" and move away from the "backwards ideology of 19th century America." With the party's new name came a complete rebrand of its platform. Beforehand, the party promoted anti-immigration, anti-creativity, and pro-climate change ideas. They would also frequently advocate for the interests of the "working man" in Phillip. Itzen's rebrand of the party still somewhat follows many of these ideas, but is more focused on protecting the rights of private companies. They also cite influence from ideologies such as Falangism, Libertarianism, and Free Market Capitalism.

The party also received a new logo created by Chairman Itzen. It features many world leaders that the party claims to be influenced by. It also includes Chairman Itzen in typical 19th century German attire.

Citizens of Phillip reacted indifferently to Chairman Itzen's announcement, with the exception of the Phillip National Front. PNF Chairman Norfolk is seeking to form a coalition with LFJML in the future if their party is ever to hold a seat in the National Assembly.
