Minister Von Establishes New Political Party

Updated: Feb 27, 2023

26 February 2023

Today, Minister Von made the decision to leave the newly founded Richardson Party in order to establish his own political organization. The move was not unexpected, as the Minister has been teasing the idea of starting his own party for a while. His choice to leave the Richardson Party was also influenced by his dislike of their totalitarian ideologies. He decided to name the party the "Faroe Unionist Front Party", after the Faroe Islands. According to Von, he says that his goal for the party is to "make Phillip the greatest it's ever been".

Minister Von stated that his party primarily believes in Nationalism and a Lassez-faire economic system, putting it on the right side of the political spectrum. The party also supports the separation of church and state, which is technically allowed in Phillip, labor unions, a strong emphasis on foreign policy, and domestic progress. The separation of church and state isn't a huge issue among voters in the country, but it seems that Minister Von is hoping to bring the potential issues that could come with a church-led government into the public discourse.

Minister Von's new party has brought a small increase in political diversity to the National Assembly. Along with being the Minister of Fish and Wildlife, Von is also the National Assembly Representative for the Bolston District. Due to his split from the Richardson Party, there are now five different parties in the Assembly. Below is an updated version of the National Assembly seating chart.

Minister Von also said that he plans on running for President during the 2nd General Election in April.
