Seeker National Assembly Controversy

In Phillip's National Assembly, there are seven seats, one for each district and one that encompasses each of the territories. Before voting for the election even began, five seats were already "confirmed", meaning that there was only one candidate running for them and they had basically won their elections. These five seats are held by Madison Marcos of Calabaza, Vice President Luke Fitzgibbins of Lukous, Cooper Norfolk of Origen, and Iyan Seeker of Tarkis and Orue. Due to the fact that Seeker claims residence in two districts, he is able to run for a seat in both. Because he also won the territories seat, he is now personally in control of 3/7 seats in the National Assembly.

Many politicians, specifically VP Fitzgibbins, have raised concerns over the power that Seeker has in the Assembly. Fitzgibbins plans to introduce legislation into the Assembly to either merge Seeker's two districts or rework how National Assembly seats are decided. An idea brought up was to create a bill that would make a representative for every five citizens of Phillip. As of right now, Seeker is able to cast three votes in the Assembly. But, he was not be able to cast three votes when voting for the Supreme Judge of the Assembly today, the winner of which was Madison Marcos of Calabaza.

Renny's first day as President

Renny's first moves as President were to appoint the Governors of the subdivisions and create six new ministries and a military. He chose most of the Governors of the subdivisions out of the people that voted for him. He said that he wanted to "gift" his supporters with something. Census results released

Part of the ballot for the election was a census. Citizens were asked about their race, religion, and political affiliation. Below are the results.

The most popular political party in Phillip is the Butter Butta Bentley Party with 9 members

The Church of Phillip is the most popular religion in Phillip, followed by Christianity.

Phillip is predominantly white with a small Hispanic population. Yokum is also recognized as a race by the Ministry of Elections.

The next election is scheduled to take place on the 1st of February, but members of National Assembly are pushing to extend the term length of all elected positions from one month to two months. So, the next election could occur on the 1st of March instead. Renny's Presidency is looking to be great. His current goals are to help create the country and then after his term is up he is planning on not running again.
