Tonight, Minister of Fish & Wildlife Reed Von announced that he filed a lawsuit against the Ministry of Corporations. This lawsuit is in response to a dispute that occurred last Sunday between the Ministry and Minister Reed Von. He submitted an application to register his new business called Bolston Shipping Corporation, but was denied by Minister Owen Itzen. It was later on revealed by Itzen that Minister Von's application was denied due to a political dispute between the two. After his attempt to register his new business in Phillip failed, Minister Von began stating that Minister Itzen was a corrupt politician. After much contemplation, he has decided to take legal action against the Ministry.

Because of this lawsuit, the first ever court session will occur in Phillip. This case will not only test the ability of Phillip's judicial system, but also the ability of Supreme Judge Madison Marcos. She has never presided over a court case, and this will be a test of her skills as a judge and her moral compass.
Immediately after the announcement of this lawsuit, Minister Itzen refused to give an official statement to reporters. Later in the evening, he stated that he wasn't worried about the case. He also expressed concern for possible favoritism in the court case. Supreme Judge Marcos and Minister Von are close political allies in Phillip. Minister Von has said that he "doubt[s] she'll be corrupt". Minister Itzen also said he will finally accept the Bolston Shipping Corporation's registration application. Many viewed this as Itzen appeasing Minister Von to avoid a lawsuit. Itzen will argue the approval of the application renders the Ministry free and clear of any legal consequences. Despite Von's business being allowed to operate in Phillip, he still wants to continue the lawsuit.
When asked about the purpose behind the lawsuit, Minister Von said this:
"I don’t want this to continue within the government. If I simply sued Owen himself then it would be civil and not really sun to get rid of the problem. If I sue the ministry then the final ruling will be applied to the entire government... this doesn't have to do with the [Bolston] block, but as a concerned citizen who has seen the corruption within the upper ranks."
The case is scheduled to start either this Friday or next Monday, depending on the availability of Supreme Judge Marcos.
